Five Thank Yous does not use website analytics or tracking cookies. We do not track how individual visitors move through the site, build reader profiles, or sell or share usage data.

Submissions are anonymous. We do not collect email addresses through the submission form, so we cannot notify you individually if your submission is published.

Nothing submitted appears publicly without manual review.

What we collect

If you submit a Five Thank Yous thread, the site collects the information you choose to provide in the form. This may include:

• an optional title
• the thank-you statements you write
• an optional broad location, if you provide one
• optional suggested themes or tags
• your consent to the submission, review, editing, and publication terms

The submission form is not intended for names, email addresses, phone numbers, precise addresses, social media handles, or other identifying details. Please avoid including personal information about yourself or other people.

What we do not use

Five Thank Yous does not use:

• website analytics
• advertising trackers
• tracking pixels
• heatmaps
• session replay tools
• third-party behavioral monitoring
• tracking cookies
• user accounts or public profiles

The project is not trying to measure attention, optimize behavior, or turn readers into engagement data.

Submissions and publication

Submissions are stored privately before review. They are not published automatically.

If a submission is selected for publication, it may be lightly edited for length, clarity, formatting, privacy, or safety. The spirit of a submission will be preserved when possible, but publication is never guaranteed.

Published entries are public. They may be read, shared, linked to, indexed by search engines, or preserved by third parties outside this site’s control.

Each approved entry receives a public URL using a short random suffix. That suffix helps create stable public links and avoid title collisions. It is not a receipt code, password, or proof of authorship.

Technical information

Like most websites, basic technical information may be processed by hosting providers and infrastructure services in order to deliver the site, receive submissions, prevent abuse, and maintain security.

This may include information such as IP address, browser or device information, request times, and pages or files requested. Five Thank Yous does not use this information to build visitor profiles or analyze individual reading behavior.

Private submission metadata is not published.

Cookies

Five Thank Yous does not use tracking cookies.

If a future feature ever requires a necessary cookie for basic site function or abuse prevention, this page will be updated before that feature is introduced.

Contacting us

If you contact the maintainer directly, the information you choose to send may be used to read and respond to your message.

Please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is necessary. Email and other contact methods are not the same as anonymous submission.

Your choices

You can read the public collection without creating an account, signing in, accepting tracking cookies, or joining a mailing list.

You can submit anonymously by leaving out identifying details. Because the submission form does not collect email addresses or proof of authorship, it may not always be possible to verify that a later request about a submission came from the original contributor.

This privacy page will be updated as the project changes. Any future changes should preserve the same basic principle: collect as little as practical, publish carefully, and avoid tracking readers.
